The consultant post is a community job covering the regions of Shropshire and Telford and Wrekin. As part of the multi professional team you will help run the hospices Virtual Hospice service, run your own outpatient clinic and conduct home visits. The job has a motor neuron disease clinic as part of the role.
Severn Hospice itself is one of the region’s leading charities, providing specialist palliative and end-of-life care for people across Shropshire, Telford & Wrekin and Mid Wales. We are looking for a compassionate and experienced Consultant in palliative care to join our dedicated and supportive clinical team.
Working as part of a close and collaborative multidisciplinary team, you will provide expert clinical guidance and leadership across our services. Alongside supporting the admission, assessment and ongoing care of patients with complex needs, you will offer specialist advice to colleagues, helping to ensure care is safe, consistent and compassionate.
As a senior member of the medical team, you will provide leadership, supervision and support to doctors and the wider clinical team, helping to foster a positive, learning-focused environment. You will also contribute to the ongoing development of our services, helping us to learn, grow and continue meeting the needs of the communities we serve.
