Severn Hospice gives specialist care and support to families across Shropshire, Telford & Wrekin and Mid Wales who are living with an incurable illness.

We support families through the good days and bad days because we believe that when cure is no longer possible, care is. Since 1989, we have given free care and support to more than 34,000 people and their loved ones during their time of greatest need. We now help more than 2,000 local people every year.

An excellent opportunity has arisen to join Severn Hospice as a HR Administrator to support our HR team with general HR administrative requirements, recruitment and various other HR tasks. The position is full time and based at the Bicton Heath site.

We are looking for an energetic, self-motivated HR Administrator to provide a professional, comprehensive and efficient HR service to the Hospice. The successful candidate will have experience of working in an administration or customer service role, along with IT experience including word and excel. They will have excellent communication skills and the ability to work independently as well as in a team.

In conjunction with HR Assistant, you will be expected to:

  • Undertake day-to-day general administration eg. filing; answering phone queries.
  • Develop and maintain good interpersonal relationships with staff and volunteers.
  • Work flexibly within the HR department to ensure smooth running of the office.
  • Liaise with staff and volunteers as required
  • Juggle various administrative tasks in a timely manner
  • Use the HR staff database (Cascade) to assist staff with queries as required
