The catering team play an important part in our patient care, and we are looking for an experienced, compassionate and committed cook to join us.
We’re looking for approachable, friendly and efficient individuals to join us on a flexible basis to help cover busy periods and holidays at our Telford and/or Shrewsbury hospice kitchens.
With your experience of working in a busy kitchen, ideally within a care environment, you will prepare quality, tasty and nutritious meals for patients, families, visitors and staff. Being passionate about great food you will also prepare bakes and buffets for meetings, functions and our Refresh Café.
With your can-do attitude and thorough understanding, you will maintain high levels of cleanliness, food safety standards, quality control and ensure all hygiene regulations are followed. You’ll also have a good knowledge of different diets and allergens.
It’s the personal touches and home-comforts that count and you’ll have great interpersonal skills and desire to provide the best possible service. You and the team will also consider dietary requirements and individual patient preferences.
